Remuneration
Remuneration for legal counsel services is settled individually with each client and depends on the type of case and the scope of legal assistance provided.
The law firm does not provide legal assistance by telephone, so it is necessary to first meet with a legal counsel to discuss the case. In many cases, one-time legal advice may be sufficient to clarify a legal issue. The cost of the one-time legal advice depends on the complexity of the case.
In cases beyond the scope of a single legal advice it is possible to set remuneration based on an individually customised system.
The most common ways of regulating remuneration are:
The amount of remuneration depends on the type of the case and the anticipated length of time. Remuneration is payable in advance or in installments. It is possible to base a lower amount of base remuneration, with an additional bonus for success.
The above system is foreseen for cases requiring court proceedings or administrative proceedings and takes into account the workload required to represent the Client throughout the proceedings or, in particular instances, depending on individual arrangements.
The amount of remuneration is fixed in a given period, usually within a calendar month, regardless of the time devoted to the Client.
System ryczałtowy stosowany jest w przypadku stałej obsługi prawnej.
Remuneration is determined in relation to the number of hours devoted to the work. The hourly rate is determined individually with the Client and is valid for the duration of the order.
The flat-rate system is used in the case of regular legal services.
The amount of remuneration is determined in a flat-rate system, however, with the intention to ensure to the Client a specified number of hours in a given billing period.
In case of exceeding the number of hours specified in the fixed sum, the Client may use an individually determined (preferential) rate for each consecutive hour of legal work.
The mixed system is used in the case of regular legal services, where the Client is unable to anticipate the need for legal assistance or the Client needs vary according to individual factors.
